Distribution of Fragmentation Status in your Network

The BLUE bars in the following normal histogram describe the distribution of fragmentation level (Lacelevel) being collected from almost 100,000 disks of various size.

The RED bars describe the distribution of fragmentation levels of YOUR disks using LaceWatcher. As a manager you should be concerned if in the right side of the chart the red columns are higher than the blue ones.

Please note that while the global distribution (in blue) is a perfect normal distribution centered around lacelevel of 8, the sample network (in red) is skewed. This sample is based on a real network. The graph analysis shows, that in this company, half of the users take care at their computers, and arrange the data as required before reaching high fragmentation levels. The other half (The right side of the graph) suffer from high fragmentation, and their computers need to be taken care of. LaceWatcher is capable of identifying those users. If no steps are taken with respect to the latter computers, you can expect a performance degradation of those computers pretty soon, followed by a request to upgrade them.
